Where, Why, How? (Part 1#)

The concept of self mastery to me is divine and remains one of the only things that has ever unequivocally made complete sense to me. With this sense I have aspired to live in a fashion that allows me to transcend the shallows that can lead cattle to dirty water. In response to the simple trap before me I chose to create my own unique reality, this new reality allows me to pursue clean water at my own pace. It is likely that you are here at this very moment because I have said something that resonates with your own conscious desire to evolve and discover a new way to nurture your own personal escape plan, hey maybe we can help push you over the edge?

The next couple of weeks we will be catching you up on some of our thoughts and experiences of the last 12 months, I will do my best to answer the plethora of questions revolving around the whys, where's and hows that brought me to the retrospective interval I am currently enjoying before introducing the next big Dirty Mule adventure.

Why, would you feel the need to make a movie about traveling with no money?

The act of travel with respect to its original necessity was and still is to discover. It is one of the longest standing activities that humans have and will continue to participate in through the foreseeable future. The actual result of these discoveries, is a call to advance beyond our current degree of self mastery while at the same time engaging and encouraging others to do the same through our interactions with them. I  pursue these adventures with no money because my opinion is that money can stonewall my potential for dynamic "new" discoveries. We are documenting these discoveries using a copy left, audience funded frame work because we know it will give the participants a sense of ownership in the process, while simultaneously inserting a heightened sense of clarity to the final production. Plus its just a really cool experiment.

What do you think about our "No Budget" approach to filmmaking?

Thank you Gabriel, we sincerely appreciate your generous offer. Africa is definitely on the radar for us, of course we've got to make it through South America first, but after that, everything is fair game and we will keep you in the forefront of our minds if that door decides to open for us in the future. May the dirt be with you Gabriel.

  • dirtymule : Spacejunk, we have been working very hard to improve the new website, we have been maximizing our limited resources and doing our best to tie things up in a timely manner. Getting the blog back up may seem like a simple task but given our fluxuating circumstances things took a little longer than we would have liked, sorry... we hope next time we can be more efficient and of course we are constantly looking for better ways to keep people informed in a more conveniant fashion, If any of you have i
  • spacejunk : Looks like you guys finally have the blog up and running again. What happened there?
  • dirtymule : Hi growman, the SR11 shoots in full HD,has a 60GB hard drive and is progressive in almost every function. Beyond the moderate price point and functionality   our primary reasons for choosing it were durability and compactness, two things that were mandatory for a project like our's. It does have issues operating in Vista, but so far that is my only complaint. Overall; Best Prosumer level camera I have ever owned.
  • growmangrow : I heard a rumor your team uses the Sony HDR SR11, What do you think about its performance?
  • dirtymule : Thanks for the encouragement Cassia, we really do appreciate your support.
  • cassiasocean : Keep fighting the good fight you guys, we got your backs.
